about

RE 006

"Lucid Garden is many things. First, it is feel-good, sing-along, with a strong playback. Then, there is an emo / sad feel. Ultimately, it is realistic, smart, and tangible for any genre-specific audience. The bedroom sounds at times can be impudent upon their listeners--overall on the deep end of independence, and the processing to fix those areas seem like rhythmic bandaids, but the quality of the performances themselves exceed past audiophiliac concepts, timelessly allowing for other conceptual movements to rise to the surface. There is something really magical here, and Gabe Smith likes to call it the Lucid Garden. "and you are welcome here. welcome," he says in Here Grows The Red Fern. Every note played accompanies a dynamic of lyrical exploitation. I found when listening to these songs, a shared experience; experiences from someone's heart entering my own. It sheds lights on impeccable emotions that fund the epiphany for great art. There is an overall religious questioning present in the album--like hot springs in the human heart that have been boiling from below since ever. Now go to this bands shows, be a part of the 'Hard to Pronounce' future they surely will have."
